A question ..

That has been on my mind for some time.
Some of you probably remember this scenario, here it goes:
A farmer is paying some labourers $40 a day. The labourers start work at 7am, and are supposed to work til 10pm.
At 11am, other people come by, and the farmer welcomes them to work, paying them $40 as well.
At 4pm, another batch of people come by, and they are also invited to work at the same rate.
At 10:30pm, even more people were added.
At this, the labourers who started work at 7am and 11am grumbled. "Why are we still working? We should have came at 10:30pm.. .then we need only to work for 30 minutes and still get $40 of pay. This is unfair."
I forgot the answer to this, but this directly co-relates to our christian path is it not? At the end of the day, everyone who works get paid $40. Anyone who believes at any time of their lives become a christian.
Not sure if its in the bible or not, but why do we choose to become a christian earlier in the day, when we still receive $40 later..?

The catch of this story is to tell all the people that no matter if u believe in jesus when u were born,believed in jesus when u are 8,believed in jesus when u are 18,believed in jesus when u are 80,all will go up to heaven.

It does not show that God is unfair. In fact, it shows that God is very generous.

the issue will eventually emerge that why should one become a Christian at 18 if one can still go to God at 80. The answer is, if one plans his life this way, at 80 (or deathbed), the conversion is false, because the intention is an attempt to cheat God of the obedience he requires.
The crux of the parable at the top of this thread is NOT whether the employer is fair or not, but why should those who got employed in the morning complain, after all they accepted the terms of employment.....
