To everyone whom i have offended:
Please accept my humble apologies for the hurt and unhappiness caused during those 'religious topics'. Like what my pastor says, things that i say is biblically correct but spiritually wrong. I acknowledge my wrong in using the Bible verses though as true as they are, in a rude, harsh and inconsiderate manner. And with that i apologies to Laurence82 and everyone else whom i have offended. Without any reserve, I apologies.

Well there's a saying "When one door closes another door opens; but we so often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door, that we do not see the ones which open for us." Eventhough it may take some time before we are able to openly see the avenues which are open to us but its better than never...Repentance is another name for aspiration.... Christianity tells people to repent and promises them forgiveness. It therefore has nothing as far as I know to say to people... Anyway personally i feel you owe apology to nobody perhaps only towards yourself... Almost every wise saying has an opposite one, no less wise, to balance it.... We should all remain neutral & strived to maintain equlibrium in all aspects of Life thus everything will be in Harmony... No worries my dear friend... You only have to answer to yourself at the End of the Day... No obligations to others unless you feel a need to...

this reminded me of the sms joke sent by one of my bro just now:
once upon a time there was a king who want to matchmaking for his princess. so he held a archery competition and 3 young men took part.
the competition was to let the princess standing in front of the tree with a apple on top of her head. the 1st man shoot the arrow and kena at the center of the apple right above the princess's head. he proudly proclaim,
"i'm hou yi! "
the 2nd man was better and he kena the 1st man's arrow , spit the arrow and hit the apple too. he too proclaim,
"i'm robin hood!
"
the 3rd man held the arrow and shoot... but he kena straight in the priness's head and killed her...........

No Water, No Moon
When the nun Chiyono studied Zen under Bukko of Engaku she was unable to attain the fruits of meditation for a long time.
At last one moonlit night she was carrying water in an old pail bound with bamboo. The bamboo broke and the bottom fell out of the pail, and at that moment Chiyono was set free!
In commemoration, she wrote a poem:
In this way and that I tried to save the old pail
Since the bamboo strip was weakening and about to break
Until at last the bottom fell out.
No more water in the pail!
No more moon in the water! -
