Gundam 00 Blu-rays get audio commentary
The official site's Blu-ray page under its Products section was updated to reveal they will come with cast and staff audio commentaries. Episode 1 on Volume 1 will have cast commentary by Mamoru Miyano, Shinichiro Miki, and Seiji Mizushima and staff commentary by Seiji Mizushima, Yousuke Kuroda, Shin Sasaki, and Hiroomi Iketani. Episode 5 on Volume 2 will have cast commentary by Miyu Irino, Chiwa Saito, and Seiji Mizushima and yet-to-be-announced staff commentary. -

Gundam 00 prequel drama CD announced
Sunrise gives news of a Gundam 00 drama CD called "Mission-2306 -Mobile Suit Gundam 00 Another Story-" to be released on July 23. Scripted by Yousuke Kuroda and supervised by Seiji Mizushima, the story as given on the site:
"Celestial Being...a private armed organization that conducts military operations without regard to race, country, or religion to rid the world of strife. A new mission is given to a Gundam Meister from Celestial Being, Setsuna F. Seiei: to prevent the assassination of Barry Halevy, the leader of a fossil fuel export regulation watchdog group. As part of the mission, he's responsible for guard & surveillance to ensure no harm comes to Halevy's beloved daughter, Louise, from terrorist organizations. But there are people in high school with one or two peculiarities beyond Setsuna's imagining. A love triangle?! And a perverted teacher?! Can Setsuna safely guard this important individual while dealing with these...??"

PART 1:
Ok then.
The first part of the interview is Mizushima praising his staff, congratulating certain members of his team, etc.
He says that the easier characters to work with, after Soma and Marina, were Sergei and Shirin. OTOH, the hardest one was Setsuna (laughs)
Marina will get more screentime in Season 2. He says that she got the short end of the stick during production, and that he's got a fame for being TEH SUCK when it comes to portraying heroines (laughs again)
Graham is twisted. He fights to hog the spotlight.
Sergei sees battle as his duty and keeps his gaze on the life beyond it. Graham might be completely dividing.
Episode 1 left an impression on the whole story. The hardest episodes were from 11 to 13 (T: the Azadistan arc); they were also the most popular with adults.
They received a lot of criticism for dropping things and taking it easy during the first half. 'That's when the "WORK BETTER" switch got pressed' (laughs) It lifted their spirits and the show got better as a result. While discussing series production, they resolved to put special care into MS' evasive maneuvers; the animators were part of this discussion as well.

PART 2
Four Gundams will be introduced in the second season. The Gundams will make use of the Meisters' special qualities, like a software upgrade. It seems it'll be unpleasant to use.
Ace pilots will be on the Earth Federation's MS. A GN-X Custom will appear as well. It will use a fake GN Drive.
That masked man appearing at the end [of S1] should be called "Face Man". It had been decided from the beginning that he would wear that "face". He wears it due to a certain "change". Mizushima thinks people will laugh at his transformation into a strong character.
'"What the hell is this stupid director doing?', they'll say (laughs)"
We'll understand why Shirin departed in the first episode of the second season. A new character will be introduced alongside her.

- There's a reasoning behind the selection criteria for Meisters. Setsuna has a very particular reason.
- Tieria's secret will be revealed in S2; Lockon might have known it by intuition.
- Japan is a country specializing in technology during the 00 era. There are Union bases along almost all of its coast.
- Shirin was personally selected by Marina as her political advisor. They were also classmates during college.
- Hong Long is not just a bodyguard. He's related to royalty.

- Lockon was convinced that there were no differences with Tieria's body. That episode might have set the line for S2.
- Whether Hallelujah is dead or not is a secret (laughs)
- The truth about Ribbons' body is in S2. Same with the Innovator.
- Sumeragi and Feldt will show up during Episode One of S2.
- Why does Regene resemble Tieria so much? That's for S2 (laughs) -

Gundam 00 Voice Actor Single series
Sunrise makes another Gundam 00-related CD announcement: a series of character CDs based around the concept of being a message to the character from the cast member who plays them. The first of these, "Mamoru Miyano come across Setsuna F. Seiei" featuring a song written by the band Skoop On Somebody, comes out August 13 and comes with a "character & cast collaborate card".frm gunota

Oricon has the fifth volume of Gundam 00 ranking #7 on the overall DVD charts and #3 on the anime DVD charts. Info from 2ch says it sold 19,863 copies.frm gunota

Gundam 00 Vol. 7 special details
Bandai Visual's site says the final volume of the first season of Gundam 00 (out July 25) will, in addition to episodes 23-25, contain 15-minutes of special video consisting of the following:
- A new SD anime short
- A special second season promo video (Seiji Mizushima interview + a second season newsflash)
- Footage from the first episode preview screenings from September of last year
Also included will be a digital gallery and audio commentary on episode #25 from Mamoru Miyano, Shinichiro Miki, Hiroyuki Yoshino, Hiroshi Kamiya, and Seiji Mizushima.
Though the audio commentary for selected episodes is a regular feature for the Blu-ray edition, it only began being included on the DVD release as well starting with Vol. 5:
