Seriously im thinking whats the purpose of having BCM if cost is the main factor?
Why not just create a new private buses combined company to become the third operator instead of wasting money on foreign companies.You want to minimise bidding amount to first time operator?

Bukit Panjang Bus Interchange may open during the September holidays, on 2 September 2017 (Saturday).
Because such a major development normally will give at least three weeks notice, like the opening of the new Shenton Way Bus Terminal (opening 25 June, announcement 1 June). Now already 10 June. Even if they announce today, the opening would be 1 July at earliest, which is already after the June holidays and beyond the month of June.
So, there's a very high chance that the opening is during the September holiday week.
In fact, the whole thing resembles Serangoon Bus Interchange opening back in 2011. Those who were with the forum back then may see some resembles on the new Bukit Panjang Bus Interchange.

3. Routes amended to loop around the bus interchange. (Possible scenario)
What I foresee is that some routes may be changed to loop around Bukit Panjang Bus Interchange, and originate from other bus interchanges. Like 81 and 82 at Serangoon.
81 was 17 kilometres (1 direction), whereas 82 was 24 kilometres. After the amendments, 81 became 34 kilometres, whereas 82 became 18 kilometres.
From this, we can tell that a route can simply be shortened if it's already more than 20 kilometres, whereas those less than 20 kilometres may be extended.

Previously, it was rumoured that bus routes 176, 920, 922, 970, 972, 973, 975, 979 and 979M would use the new bus interchange, whereas the other bus routes will have other arrangements. (eg. 971E start from BS44641 - Blk 602)
The routes in question are 75, 180, 184 and 700.
75 is a very long route, more than 20 kilometres in one direction, and it serves many independent connections. My guess is that 75 will move into Bukit Panjang Bus Interchange, once 979M merge into 979.
180 just nice 20 kilometres, and is already looping around Bukit Panjang Bus Interchange, so I would expect 180 to remain the same, and continue to loop around Bukit Panjang Bus Interchange.
184 more than 24 kilometres. What I foresee is that 184 may start from Clementi, if Clementi has space, and loop around Bukit Panjang Bus Interchange, like 180. The important thing is to not remove the connection between Clementi MRT and Ngee Ann Poly, and Bukit Panjang, because that is essentially what 184 is created for. It would be like 82 at Serangoon, except this one would not trigger a new bus route to be created.
700 slightly more than 20 kilometres. What I feel is that 700 can be integrated into 971E.

Following the trend of bus routes looping outside the bus interchange, 60 and 83 may get the same treatment.
60: loop via Bedok North Avenue 1, New Upper Changi Road, Bedok North Avenue 3 and Bedok North Road.
83: loop via Sengkang East Road, Sengkang Square and Sengkang East Way.
In fact, this will shorten bus route 83. The buses made redundant can be re-deployed to 60, which would require more buses for the longer route.
The rest can take from 256, since not all buses going over to 258.

I don't know why but if LTA want to standardised all public buses to be Euro V and above next year,Euro IV Scanias and B10LE CNG can say bye2.
Maybe Euro VI Volvo B8RLE,MB Citaro C2 & MAN NL283F will be the fleet replacement?😂

Don't think they will just remove the fleet like that. It's a bad investment and waste of resources and money.
EURO 6 is more for new vehicles registered next year. Current fleets are not affected unless they reached the statutory age of 17 years.

LTA don't just remove any vehicles like that as long as they are roadworthy and don't emit black smoke and pollutants.
Such wasteful approaches can only get public backlash after that. People are watching. The public had complained when the govt helps the bus operators to buy new buses.
If so, why are we still have 20 year old commercial vehicles on the roads now?

That's because the owners chose to renew the COE and to maintain older diesel vehicles is no chicken feet either,Its costly.
For your info,TTS & GAS particularly lease those buses from LTA for a fee,Not free.

Well precisely.
As long as these buses are not 17 years yet and roadworthy, why must scrap them early?
LTA allows those commercial vehicles to extend their COEs for 10 years because they are able to pass the inspections and still road worthy. But not if they fail the inspections and poses a hazard on the roads. The owners have to scrap them. It's still commercially cheaper to maintain older diesel vehicles because new vehicles are so expensive these days. Just look at Cat C. Dropped to 30k but not many rushed in to change new commercial vehicles.
Nothing is free in Singapore. This is highly possible and I do believe. A lease is as good as rental, and rental involves money.

Coincidentally, BSEP left five routes haven't announce.
I have a feeling that one of them won't be a BSEP new route.
