The hybrid and electric buses
I think there is also a tender for Euro 6 diesel

But I dont think LTA is keen on bendies, its too efficient for them.
Oh yeah, seems like there's news on prams allowed onboard without the need of folding. I think newer buses will have space catered for them, and maybe some sort of strapping device

So all the 40 A24 transfer to Seletar for Yishun feeder
Originally posted by carbikebus:So all the 40 A24 transfer to Seletar for Yishun feeder
A24 are not govt buses.
Guys, the articulated buses on Yishun feeder routes would most likely be replaced with double decker buses, under the bus contracting model.

I knew but hgdep103 say probably there is bendies also..Cannot be O405G right

Unless LTA says they are buying over SMRT's bendies, I doubt there will be any
So hgdep103,Can clarify?
All bus assets are under LTA already... at most LTA conpensate with B9TL

So Yishun feeders use A22/A24 and SMRT feeders use B9TL?

Except K230UBs and OC500LEs?

no, not yet
Just board an EWL train at Pioneer. Car 2004. The stickers covering the Tuas West stations, on all LED and sticker maps, have been removed.
The stickers are probably removed by SMRT staff. I think it's imminent that the Tuas West Extension opening date will be announced anytime now.
Man, I think I would probably need some time to get used to seeing the Tuas West stations on the MRT system maps.

except the NWAB buses.

so why are the NWAB buses still on the road? since you said that they are not under BCM, then why is SBST/SMRT still deploying them? if they are not under LTA, then SBST/SMRT will be more than willing to scrap them and ask for new buses instead...
this is from LTA press release.
7. There remain about 4,000 buses that are owned by SBS Transit and SMRT Buses at the moment. During the tenures of the negotiated contracts, LTA will lease these buses from the operators by paying an availability fee that is equivalent to the depreciation value of the buses. The financial cost of this is the same as buying over the buses now at net book value.

There remains to have Mercedes-Benz O405G (Hispano Habit and Volgren) buses, Volvo B10M Mark IV (DM3500) and Volvo Olympian 3-Axles. The only condition that needs to retire is "too old for revenue service, it will spoil easily".
The bus lifespan has optional 2 to 3 years extension. So, assuming B10TL is built in 2004, scrap in 2023.

Dear TPS Timothy Mok, thanks for the reply. Just to clarify, I did not make that up. That train really had stickers removed. Love, gekpohboy
