Because of the herd mentality lah .. haha. Probably those who kpkb were friends of that first guy who initially started whining about Sv 76's amendment haha
They only care about themselves ma
Welfare of the Bus Captains are nothing to them
One of those who whine about the svc 76 amendment is a very well known liar anyway, anything also can bullshit one
I don't see anyone whine when 189 was cut to loop at somewhere ulu (to those who frequent 189) while they have to change to 201 at Clementi also...
Now 76 cut and replace with 134, all hell breaks loose
The residents would benefit with the better frequency too
---
Oh and about svc 76 having layover at Marine Terrace? Bullshit. That break isn't in their schedule.
IMO, the whole issue about this 76-134-150 is due to the DD ban along Joo Chiat. Otherwise, 76 can just be extended via Telok Kurau/Joo Chiat running R/W plates along Marine Terrace (But it requires the DDs). 134 can stay. 150 is redundent.

Yes, the amendment has its advantages and disadvantages to commuters.

150 is meant to be another link to Eunos from Marine Terrace + sort of supplementing 13 since 13 doesn't stop at Eunos MRT...?

Hi mr ButIAmAToilet, oh sorry it is not about DD ban along joo Chiat. It is about improved frequency for marine crescent/terrace residents and an improved welfare for bus drivers. Intention has all along been to delete certain sectors of sbs 76, not extend.
Sbs 150 is an additional service for telok Kurau residents which has also very bad frequency to eunos MRT station. It is to complement existing SBS 15. Nothing to do with sbs 76 and 134 actually. Cheers. Thanks.

13 passby the MRT bus stops too,Actually more or less benefit Eunos residents going to East Coast too and supplement Svc 15 from MRT to Telok Kurau.
And new 76 timecard got a few duties mealbreak at Eunos too,So benefit the BCs in a way and also can relieve Yio Chu Kang Ter.

87: 3829H swap 3515M for mass redeployments. No fleet add.

If it's just about frequency and rest time for BCs, 76 could have been extended from Marine Terrace to Eunos via Still Rd (enter Marine Terrace in both directions with red/white plates). In this way Marine Terrace residents will have better frequency on 76 towards Paya Lebar because it starts from Eunos. AMK residents taking 76 towards YCK may be affected as the suggested 76 will be longer than the current 76 and hence have poorer frequency, but still better than the old 76.
If this is still not enough in terms of frequency, introduce 134 together with the suggested 76. 134 can ply Haig Rd or something to reduce duplication with the suggested 76.
Just my 2 cents worth.
Did anyone notice the # rigids spammed on 912 and 913 to make it WAB friendly. They did the same for 911, 811 and 901 as well when they made them WAB.
Such a pity that SMRT has to resort to this to make the WAB quota.
What happened to bendies providing better use in feeders/intra-towns? If the way to do it is by making bendies 50% of fleet for once full time bendy fleet, I don't think SMRT has thought through its strategy well.
For instance, 911 has 15 buses... is it really efficient to do that and have a bus every 02-04 mins just because you don't want to deploy DDs.
Moreover, there is no more bendies to make 300, 900, 806 bendy in future unless they take out bendies from 858 to accommodate one service. DDs will have to appear on SMRT feeders/intra-towns sooner or later, or get used to having 3 rigids and then 1 bendy in future.

806 deploy 8
u A22s 3 O405Gs and 1 A24
Someone reported wrong information that sv 62 got DD downgrade. Still operating with same number of DDs and SDs.

Look at 969 to begin with lol
Those days when it became WAB and there wasn't any ADL around
God it's as bad as 190

Just wait for SMRT or LTA to order another batch of A24 to replace Mark 2 buses, around 2016/2017 ...
SD is a no-no for 912 and 913 ...
DD on 913 still acceptable between WRI and W Circle ...
sv 74 finally gets capacity upgrade. 3 SD -> 3 DD... this is first upgrade for 74 in the last 4 years :))
sv 12 on the other hand has 1 bus reduced. Back to fleet of 25 buses from 26 buses, further more bus reduced is DD. Maybe sv 47 effect.
sv 50 got SD->DD upgrade. Now operating with 14 DDs, 2 SDs. Good move given that the loading is consistently high + bi-directional high loading.
sv 85 has a fleet add.. SD though... now operating with 13 buses... 5 DDs, 8 SDs.
Svc 980 has a fleet add:Wldep S102
S855 got 1 new A/P duty now operate with 18 buses
Did anyone notice that 89 had 3 buses cut, all 3 DDs... 133 had one bus cut (DD) and 105 had one bus cut as well (SD)??
Looks like after sv 20 had 2 buses cut, now LTA is realizing it added way too many buses, and now started to wind back. On SBS side, looks like they are also adjusting given loading pattern.
Its because LTA added too many A/P buses which in return is redundant during off peak where buses got less than half full.Service like 67,169,187,966,972 also face this problem.Wasted of resource and manpower. On the other way they should add AP buses for service like 61,852,970 and few others which face frequencies issue especially during off peak where buses can be late as 18-24 mins.
SBST issue is too many B9TLs deployed and usually its under utilised and SMRT face issue with lack of HC buses and spamming too many A22s.
