I'm sure many of you have come across these people before. Guys - masquerading as girls - on the internet, mostly playing online games such as RPGs like maplestory with of yet unknown intentions - to embarass naive little boys who are just starting to see girls in a different light, I suppose?
I myself have come across a few of them in my forays into the internet, gaming in particular. Having absolutely no knowledge of the opposite party, I believed that they were indeed of the sex without sticks. Of course, pretense can only last so long; the person in particular was found out and condemned; but for what reason? Some of my online friends were rather interested in that particular person, but when they discovered "her" secret, they instantly broke all ties with him and started harassing him with threats and the usual thirteen-year old "gang" threats.
I myself was surprised, and a little bit mystified. Why would a person want to pose as something he, or she, is not? Even though, yes, girls do get preferential treatment ( you hardly see any guys being given gifts from fellow players just because they are male), I still see no reason to go to such an extent. As a result of such people, actual girls all over the internet have been accused as "shemales", which will most likely hurt their feelings. Under these circumstances, some have resorted to posing as guys, which is far more understandable as they would not want to be wrongfully accused, or harassed over the internet. What are your opinions on MMORPGs?
Here's a tl;dr for those people who didn't bother to actually read the above:
What are your opinions on men who act as women online? I'm not talking about the people who choose female sprites, for fuck's sake.

Rule number 1 when comes to online/MMORPG - Treat all people online as someone who have the same gender as you.
But seriously, a man creating a female character is common. One major reason is to trick suckers into giving free items to them. Well, the suckers (being a sucker) of course fall for it.

Please lor u play online games u will know gender is not always guy must choose guy girl must choose girl lor..... I know girls playing with male sprites and vice versa... Not necessary you must always play a sprite according to your gender... Mabbe girl wanna play paladin but female paladin dun look fierce enough so they choose a male char or ppl wanna play rogue then male rogue dun look as lithe as a female rogue....
Ppl who fall in love with sprites while playing online games should get a grip on reality

What sort of nonsense rule is that?In maplestory, girl Equipments are much more cheaper than guy equipments. This is market forces at work.
Suckers are those girls who believe what they see on screen and assume the person playing it is of the same sex too.

there was this once when i was using my gf's character and this two guys tried chatting me up.. i pretended to be female but i din go out of my way to embarrass or lead them on.. just replying to their questions straightforwardly..
den came the question from one of them, "u got bf in real life?"
to which i typed "yah, and u haf been talking to him all this time."
lol.. just classic.. i can just visualise his expression behind that screen...

The guys I know who other people honestly believe they are female are even more feminine than me in game.
And yes they think that if there are suckers
