yo volvo, u pax or cabby?
paxs usually dont like fastest route except ang moh…
common examples
town to marine terrace… fast: ECP exit marine vista, short: ECP exit marine parade… no money for guessing which exit most paxs insist… so far only one ang moh said exit vista
town to sengkang compassvale street… fast: CTE-TPE, short: CTE-AMK 5…. so far all paxs said exit AMK 5… only pongol paxs say CTE-TPE…. just one street difference….
town to pongol… fast CTE-TPE, short serangoon all the way… short route is really wa lan eh…
wisma to teban/jur east… fast: AYE, short: ulu pandan… short route is another wa lan eh…
town to teck whye/bt panjang… fast PIE-BKE, short: bt timah all the way… short route can faint…
me an expressway person… unless jam….fastest better mah…

today i send my bro to work at tampines fire station. after that i wanna go NTU.
instead of Ave 10 > bedok north rd > PIE > NTU
or
Ave 10 > TPE > SLE > Mandai Rd > BKE > KJE > PIE > NTU... i tried a different route which was just about the SAME TIME compared to the 2 previous routes.
start 7.15am frm tamp fire station.
Ave 10 > bartley road east > airport rd > upp paya lebar > bartley > braddell > lornie > PIE > NTU.
reach 8.00am.
crazy route but still same time. and FC shud be about same. PIE will tio jam and slow down anyway!

here the right turn if can make it very lucky. if peak hour i rather exit vista coz the queue to turn right very long already. if miss right turn green arrow also suay.

your is a creative route… part of the govt plan to build a seamless out of town ‘express’ route from bartley-bradell-lornie-adam-farrer-queenway-AYE… just missing the eastern lag to complete a circle…
but Tamp 5 to NTU still PIE-NTU shortest and fastest if no jam… TPE-SLE-KJE-PIE also soild
next time you can try KPE as part of your route and feedback me… Tamp 10-bartley east-KPE-PIE-NTU….can skip jam on PIE from bedok to kallang…

haha no ambulance moderator is not my brother.
i didnt want to go KPE because i wanted to avoid the jams between (KPE exit
CTE exits & stevens exit). so decided to go
all the way to lornie den go in.
TPE/SLE/BKE/KJE/PIE tiring.. must rest a bit lah.. some more the SLE>BKE exit lots of queue-cutters!! go mandai also can.
but i dont like the KJE with all the 60/70km/h vehicles occupying lanes 2-4.

Thank U 4 TS, good 4 new cab driver like me. but so far nv encounter any problem, may b say that no pax complaint, some time abit longer routes, impotantly is no jam, nowaday many highway can link to another hgh way, so is very confusing, so this thread is gd for dicussion. wishing all Cab driver Drive steady n Safety. $$$$ can earn any times, life only got one. Family is waiting 4 U to go Home. Do U all normally honk at taxi that when they pick up or alighting Pax ??????? If U do so, how U expect the pte car to tolerate us. Need Ur advise. thank U in advance.

Sorry Bros ALN, for my bad english, sometime I felt that some Taxi uncle like to honk at other Newbie Taxi young uncle, heheee........ why cant they tolerate our same line COLLEAGUE. Even pte car saw the haze light on, they will detour without honk at us leh. Hope that Bros ALN catch my ball liao. hahaaaa................

i observe that cabs won’t honk if another cab in front stop to pick up pax… industry practice wat…
unless the cab in front is deemed to have cut lane and snatch the pax
even if the cab is blocking traffic, cab behind also unlikely to honk… unless taking own sweet time lah…
u got cut lane and snatch pple pax or not?....haha

these are only my suggestions… other cabbies may have their own preference…
like town to CCK north… me confirm take PIE-BKE-KJE-exit CCK wan…
but if you ask poolman or some pax, he will surely take shorter route and along KJE-exit woodland and then stagmont wan…. why? his home ground mah… haha
aiya expressway all the way shiok mah….sit or drive also shiok what…haha… unless you tell me CCK north north 5 or 6 lah… but if you just tell me CCK north… me zoom expressway liao…haha
