because when someone enters the house they'll be scared by their own reflection, "Wow, so fat! or Wah, so ugly!".

    • The post is interesting and they are excellent tips of feng shui.

The positive energy or chi gets reflected back with the mirror opposite the door.So its better not to place. You can also place a bamboo plant to attract career and positive chi.One more tip is chimes.....which will get rid of the evil out of the house

and laughing budha is good option too.

    • Fengshui TIP

      Laughing Buddha

The true meaning behind this wonderful Buddha is to remind ourself that we should smile wherever we meet anyone no matter it is someone who we love or who we hate.In chinese we say 做人处事都要笑面迎人。That why Laughing Buddha is always the first statue to see.Another meaning is the big tummy of the laughing it is to remind ourself to be patient and understanding.所谓做人要有肚量以合为贵.

    • Fengshui Forward seems like a very popular metaphysics website. My friend was telling me to sign up for their forum and receive free bazi reading. Anyone got any idea who owned the site? Seem like a good place to discuss fengshui also. Liangtai, do you visit any of these Fengshui Forum?

Oh ya Focors, I dun think that ornaments work. Joey yap seems to say that authentic fengshui cure got nothing to do with lucky charm. But reading the post by Master Ken, mmm....he seems to have a point....arghhhh any master can give their comments?

You may wan to take a look at Lilian too website. It is like not bad.Different people got different wealth sector, therefore this ornament may suit him but does not apply to others.

    • The tips are very useful. Thank you for a nice post.

Feng-shui is the art and science of understanding the forces of nature in order to design houses and workplaces that blend with the environment instead of clashing with it. Feng shui increases intimacy and bring love back into your life, stimulates the money making machine, significantly reduces stress and it's harmful effects on your health, brings more satisfaction into your relationships and work.

    • When travel:

      1. Keep 6 peacock feathers in your car to protect you from accidents and to keep people with bad intentions from entering your car.

      2. Hang or place a bird in your car. Birds signify good omens and bring safety during travel.

      3. Keep or carry a symbol of longevity with you for personal safety and protection against harmful energies.

Five things you should never give:

      1. Never Give Sharp Objects

Gifts of sharp objects are actually more popular than one would expect because most people don't see them as such. Examples of sharp objects that are unsuitable as gifts include the following: blade, chainsaw, dagger, hunting knife, letter opener, penknife, scissors, Swiss Army knife, sword, etc

      2.Never Give Timepieces

In the West, timepieces are, in fact, quite well-liked as gifts. These include: alarm clock, wall clock, pocket watch, wristwatch, etc.

Timepieces measure the passage of time and this indirectly suggests a limited lifespan, which is very inauspicious

      3. Never Give Red Roses

Did you know that you should never give red roses? Long stemmed red roses with sharp thorns are terrible as gifts. The longer the stem and the sharper the thorns ... the more the relationship will suffer. If you send your lover a bouquet of red roses - romantic and all - it will be the beginning of the end of the relationship.

      4. Never Give Shoes

In Chinese (Cantonese), the word for shoes, 'hai', sounds very much like a sigh. This is very inauspicious as it suggests much unhappiness. A gift of shoes to your friend would be akin to sending bad luck his/her way.

      5. Never Give Handkerchiefs

Gifts of handkerchiefs are also traditionally frowned upon. This is because a handkerchief is used to wipe away sweat and tears, which suggests a lot of sadness and frustration. Giving handkerchiefs as gifts suggest that you anticipate him/her to be doing much crying in the future. This generates such an inauspicious chi.

    • Symbolism play big part in Fengshui too therefore i feel that some method are merely some tradition pass down..some can be meaningful and help us to remember and be alert.it is a matter of whether our heart and mind can accept it...Owning of a Statue of a Buddha is to remind his teaching and from another point it also protect us from evil spirit or any fengshui problem just like other say....It really depend on how we see it..who see it....
